Dr. V.C.Jacob (PT) has been the Deputy Director of Neurogen Brain and Spine Institute since its inception and is currently the Head of Neurorehabilitation at Neurogen. He has been a physiotherapist at LTMG Hospital, Sion, and Mumbai for 35 years and is retired in 1998. He has been one of the founder members of Paraplegic Foundation, a charitable organization and was in the executive committee from 1968 to 2006. He is also one of the Trustees of Nina Foundation, an NGO set up for the Rehabilitation of Spinal Cord Injury. He has also organized sports events for Paraplegic’s on National as well as Maharashtra State level. He was an active member of Indian Association of Physiotherapists and has been the President for the year 2002 to 2004.
Apart from all these activities, Dr.Jacob has been involved in disaster management during calamities such as the catastrophic earthquake at Latur and also at Gujarat. He is wholeheartedly committed to the cause of Rehabilitation of patients suffering from neurological disorders.He is an author of books and "NeuroRehabilitation – A Multidiciplinary Approach" and "NeuroRehabilitation in Spinal Cord Injury – A guide for Therapists and Patients”
