Dr. Hemangi Sane has been named as one of the "Leading Physicians of the World, 2013-2014", and is dedicated towards finding cure for neurological disorders, through research. Her unique, broad and sensitive outlook comes from her experience as a clinician, researcher and as a patient herself. She acquired her MBBS degree from the prestigious GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai University. Further she acquired her post graduate, MD, degree in Internal Medicine from the renowned New York Medical College, USA. She is an American Board of Internal Medicine certified physician. She is a member of Indian Medical Association, American Medical Association, American College of Physicians and Stem Cell Society of India. She practiced Internal Medicine in New York before entering the field of cell therapy. With an experience of more than 15 years, she also has numerous publications of cell therapy in many international peer-reviewed medical journals. Some of these are viewed as breakthrough medical articles. She has co-authored for medical books and magazines on the role of Cell Therapy. She was honored with International Women's Day Award in the year 2013, by the Mayor of Mumbai city. She envisions an independent and better quality of life for patients with neurological conditions, including Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. She has taken a step further to support patients with ALS, and founded a non-profit organization "Asha Ek Hope foundation for MND/ALS". She is the chief coordinator for International Association of Neurorestoratology, India. Her positivity, compassion and enthusiasm are an added asset to the institution.

Recently she was awarded "Iconic Women Creating a Better World for all" at Delhi.
